What is a countdown timer & how it works
A countdown timer counts down from a set duration and alerts you when it reaches zero. It is the simplest way to timebox work, cooking, exercise intervals, exams or presentations.
This timer works out the moment it will end when you press Start and measures the time left against your device clock. That end time is shown under the countdown, so you can check it against any watch. Browsers slow down background tabs, but that only delays the display, never the reading.
