What is CSV sample data & how it works
CSV (comma-separated values) is plain text with one record per line and fields separated by commas, with a header row naming the columns. Every spreadsheet, database and data tool can import it, which makes it the default format for moving tabular data around.

Use Data > From Text/CSV rather than double-clicking, so you can pick UTF-8 encoding and the comma delimiter. Double-clicking can misread accented characters and reformat IDs and dates.
